Best Way To Sell a Car Besides Using Craigslist?
I was wondering what is the best way to sell a car besides advertising in Craigslist? I bought a car recently and the previous owner lied to me about the condition of the car. I have found out there are some problems with the car. I fixed some of the problems. The inspection has expired (he said he’ll take the car in for inspection before he sold it), and then I found out the car has been in an accident. The car is in good shape but I want to sell it – and maybe to a mechanic for a lower price. What are my options? Please advice because I’m stuck and I have to pay my tuition.

Well, Craigslist really is a great and free place to advertise a used car. I understand your predicament though because you feel that you got screwed on this deal and don’t want to pass on what might not be such a great car to someone else. However, before you sell the car at a huge discount to a mechanic, why not go ahead and advertise it in Craigslist but be extremely honest in describing the vehicle? Just kind of put out there in the Universe that you are looking for the “perfect buyer for this car” and then let it go and let it happen. Besides, maybe it really is a good car? Craigslist is the best free online publication, but you could also advertise it at the same time in Kijiji.com and Backpage.com. And for maximum coverage, one of the best ways to sell a car is to park it somewhere that gets lots of foot and drive-by traffic with a big ‘For Sale’ sign on it too. Just make sure you don’t park it in an area where they ticket people for doing that.

Autotrader, Craigslist, Cars.com. They are all good places to sell the car. Also the newspaper is a good place to advertise a used car.
